Transcript for "Live Q&A: A new insurance experience with SimplePractice": Thank you for being here today. I know your time is incredibly valuable, and, live streams aren't always the most convenient thing to work into your schedule. So I really appreciate people making the time, and I know a lot of you are here. And I'm sure more will be continuing to roll in as their days make available. So with that, I would love to get into it. Obviously, today's conversation is really focused in on the the recent announcements around new insurance products that we have been investing in as well as the price changes that have gone along with that. And, looking forward to getting into that as much as possible today, and hopefully answering lots and lots of questions from you because I know that, you have them. Alright. With that, I would love to dive into introducing a couple of colleagues from SimplePractice who are here with me, and they're really the experts here on every aspect of the changes that we announced recently, both from a product standpoint, a pricing standpoint, a support standpoint, and we will dive into those. So first of all, I'll just introduce, Shahzad. Shahzad, why don't you, let people know what you're doing here and and, any other things you wanna share? Hi, everyone. Thank you for the time. Shazad Moiz. I lead our, revenue cycle management product team here at SimplePractice. And Jordan. Hey, everybody. My name is Jordan Desmo. I'm the senior manager of customer success and support here at Zippo Practice. I spent twelve years in behavioral health, first as a mental health counselor, then as a biller, as a billing and compliance consultant, and now as a leader of our insurance success and support teams. Over my seven years in some practice, I've worked with our teams to launch new insurance services and features and the support behind them. And I know insurance balance insurance billing could be one of the hardest parts of running a practice. So my goal always is to help make sure that that work feels lighter, especially for those clinicians and practices who accept insurance to make it easier to access care. Awesome. Thanks, Jordan. And, Dylan? Hi, folks. Really excited to be here with everyone today. My name is Dylan O'Hare, and I'm the director of revenue operations here at SimplePractice. I've spent twenty five years in medical billing supporting the important and impactful work of providers just like yourselves, and I've also been a SimplePractice user since 2017. So I know firsthand where the pain points are in all of our insurance billing workflows. I'm here today as your advocate on the inside, and I'm excited to dig into some questions with you all. Thanks, Doug. Thanks, everybody. I realized I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Doug Scott. I'm the chief marketing officer here at SimplePractice, and it's wonderful to be here with you today. Thank you for spending your time with us. Shazad, I'm gonna hand it to you really quickly just out of the gate before we dive into some of the q and a. Just to set the stage here, I think most people here are probably very aware of the changes that we announced. But just a quick overview of what's going down, what's changed, and, and then from there, we'll jump into q and a. Thanks, Doug. And I'll try to keep this brief. Firstly, I I wanna acknowledge the extent of the changes that we've we've introduced and how that can be a lot to take in at once. Our our commitment is to always give you the best product and service available and along the way communicate and engage with you and educate you on how to get the most out of it. And we will always strive to do the best on both fronts. Before I talk through some of the changes, I just wanted to level set on the vision we have for insurance and billing. Our goal is to eliminate the friction and administrative burden and headache associated with insurance and billing. We know it's we know it's a lot. And we know managing insurance better gives you the time back so you can deliver the care to your clients, then you know you can get paid reliably and ultimately maintain your clinical independence. So this starts early in the journey all the way from deciding which payers you wanna work with and which payers you wanna get a network with, all the way through to fighting those denials and rejections. We also believe that insurance and billing is really a foundational truth to starting, growing, and scaling your practice. As such, we believe all customers should have access to the same set of essential tools. So as Jonathan shared out on Monday, starting the day, all practices now have access to these core sets of capabilities, and we've been delivering these over the course of the last year. I'll give you a sample of some of them. New streamline onboarding and auto ERA enrollment, a new centralized billing hub that I'm sure some of you have recently engaged with, preclaim submission checks, making sure your claims are corrected before they're ever submitted, customizable claim rules so that you can touch your claims once and don't have to adjust it every time you submit, manual status checks, and multiple clearing houses to give you the stability and reliability and peace of mind, and much, much more. In addition, we've also spent a large portion of the last year talking to many of you, surveying many of you. We've learned a lot. And we've learned that for some some of you, you have greater needs in terms of how you manage in insurance and billing, or your insurance and billing practice is a little bit more complicated. So we've introduced a new optional add on called insurance navigator that includes automated status checks, automated client responsibility estimates, allowing you to charge your clients with confidence, a claim assistant, available to help you fight those denials and rejections, autofill EOBs so you don't have to manually enter and upload when you receive a paper EOB, And last but definitely not least, direct access to our insurance specialists who have deep expertise in insurance and can guide you as to how you use and get the most of your simple practice tools. Now with these product changes, we've also introduced new pricing. So starting on October 1, those on insurance essentials will pay 39¢ per claim. And if you are filing more than 250 claims per month, there is volume discounts available, and you'll pay 15¢ for every manual check. And for those who decide to opt in to Insurance Navigator, you'll pay an all in rate of a dollar 79 per claim. Now going back to that vision, we know and acknowledge that our job is not done, and this is only the beginning. We continue to focus on other bigger problems that you have, such as secondary insurance, reporting, credentialing, all while building more smart tools and automations. And we look forward to engaging with you so we can build this future together. So with that, I'll hand it back to Doug. Thanks, Shazad. I just noticed one thing really quickly, logistics. Can people hear Shazad? Can people hear the other panelists? I saw some people who said that they might not be able to hear. There's definitely some troubleshooting that we can do for you. If everyone can hear, that's great. Thank you. I see a lot of thumbs up. Appreciate the feedback. So if someone's having a a challenging time hearing, I encourage you to check some of the settings on, on your end that might be part of what's going on here. Or keep hitting us up in chat, and we'll try to help troubleshoot that for you. Okay. But with that said, you know, the reason that we're here is to answer your questions. So we should dive into those, and we'll start taking them again. If you missed the intro, please enter questions into the q and a tab, not in the chat, chats for, you know, dialogue and, you know, you know, expressing yourself. Q and a is for the questions that we'll be able to answer and where people can upvote them. Even if you don't have a question, definitely head over there and please, upvote so that we get to the questions you most want us to answer. Okay. With that, let's dive into you. The first question is from Eddie. And the question is, are you aware that the check insurance widget under our client's insurance info usually does not work, does not provide any relevant information. Shazad, I'm gonna push this to you first, but then, Dylan or Jordan, please feel free to jump in on this one. Sure. Thanks, Eddie, for the question. So, the the check insurance widget should be providing you with accurate and to have coverage status as well as client, estimates if you're in part of the insurance navigator trial right now. If you're not, it would be you'd have to run a manual check to get that insurance status. So if you're having issues with both of those, this is a we we should be able to triage that. So I don't know, Jordan, if you have anything additional color that you wanna add to that. Yeah. I'm sure that we do find, that, you know, often when your client provides you with an insurance card, they have medical, out of pocket cost listed there. So, like, off of the office office visits, deductibles, co pays, those are not always necessarily the same as your mental health benefits. So what we may be returning on those status checks, may in fact be the mental health benefits, whereas the card is showing you medical benefits. So we'd love to, if you're finding discrepancies, especially if you've checked it in a payer portal and have validated, that the information that's coming through is not quite correct, we have a full, squad of team members who are constantly optimizing that feature. So please feel free to reach out to us. Let us know what is incorrect, and we'll just continuously work to optimize and make sure that that information coming through is accurate for you. I would just add in one thing there too that's worth looking for is maybe, there's some wires crossed when you're looking at the card. It's got a bunch of different plan names or insurance company names. And if you do pick the wrong payer ID, you're not gonna get any results back. So it's worth flipping the card over, checking the back of the card where you can see what is the actual billing payer ID or address and try to drill down on what the correct payer is in fact. That way, load it up and you'll probably get some results in that. Hey, Saul. The next question comes from Amanda Phelan. Thanks for the question, Amanda. I don't understand the pricing. Is this something that we opt in or out of? Or is this an increase no matter what? I wish there was some choice in this matter. Totally hear all of the points of this question, and maybe I'll just take a first crack at answering this for a second. And then obviously, if anyone else wants to chime in, please do. And first of all, let me just say, like, I know that, many people have been frustrated with some of the aspects of this pricing, and we take that very, very seriously. Obviously, we don't wanna let down our customers. This is something that, you know, we, have not we don't take it lightly when we do something like this. And let me walk through some of the rationale behind why we've made the pricing changes that we have, and I'll try to make sure I explicitly answer your question, Amanda, as we go. One of the things that's happening is, we are seeing a huge increase in demand for insurance. So insurance, billing is up about three x over private pay billing. It's growing much, much faster on simple practice. And I think that's an indication of demand that a lot of practices wanna take insurance, so they can tap into that demand. And a lot of clients wanna use their insurance or need to use their insurance. And so to be able to provide that accessibility, we really wanna make it as easy and frictionless as possible for you to take, insurance and hopefully rewarding as well, as you go through that process. So, this has all been about the investment that we've been making in these products over the last, well over a year. We've been investing very, very heavily in this. And I think sometimes people think that maybe the insurance, product that we offer is simply like a wrapper on a clearing house. That is not the case whatsoever. And no one said that. I know you didn't say that, but that can sometimes be the perception. And, obviously, it's so much more than that. It's smart claim validation and routing. It's rejection exception handling. It's security and compliance conditions. It's its customer supports, multiple clearing house connections for increased stability and reliability. It's an end to end claim service. It's a huge portion of work to stand this up, and we might be able to dive into some of the specific things that also exist behind the scenes that hopefully are providing value for you as we go through this. But, ultimately, that's just the start. And then there's this road map to come. So a lot of that requires us to invest tremendous resources. Ultimately, we decided to focus this investment, you know, in order to be able to afford to do this and continue to do this for you. We we focus this on the proclaim fee is where this price impact is falling. And that's because these are things that are ultimately, hopefully, in benefit of people who are filing insurance. And so we didn't wanna roll it into, like, the base subscription price or other things like that that would end up, you know, impacting everybody on simple practice. It's really focused here. So that was a big part of the sort of rationale here is that we know there's huge demand for this. We really wanted to focus in on it. So that's why the base level fee is changing. So there Amanda, to your question about opt out, there there is, there's not an opt out to the the fee increase on essentials. That is part of the base package of insurance capabilities that's available to everybody on simple practice now. And we want that to be the best possible product experience it can be, and that's why this investment is required for us. And that's how we're gonna be able to to handle that and and continue to invest going forward in things like secondary claim automation, RCM reporting, out of network claim filing, increasing connectivity to more more payers and maybe referrals that can come along with that. A lot of different aspects that we have coming. So that's the ultimate rationale here behind this. And, I hope that answers your question, about why we're why we're making this change at this time and some of the benefits that are gonna come along with that. Why don't we jump on to the next question? Because I think that was a fairly long answer and probably don't need more than that. Okay. The next question is from Bailey. Thanks, Bailey, for the question. Does this mean it will be a dollar 79 per claim even if they are not checking coverage each time? Shiza, do you wanna just dive into the specifics of the pricing. here on Navigator? Yeah. So just to be clear thank you, Bailey, for the question. Just to be clear, the dollar 79 is just for those on Insurance Navigator, not for those on Insurance Essentials. You do pay the dollar 79 for every claim, and you because it's an automated check, you are getting a mental health coverage check, as well as a client responsibility estimate for every appointment. So, there is no manual trigger, no step that you have to take. We are optimizing all of that on the back end just to make sure that you are presented with all the most accurate appoint accurate information before an appointment ever occurs. So you know what your client's coverage is, and you know ultimately what they should be owing, for that appointment coming up. Hopefully, that answers your question. And just to be clear, there are, two packages that we announced recently. The first is essentials, which is our core package of, of features to try to make taking insurance available and accessible for everybody, in as frictionless a way as possible. And that is the 39¢ per claim pricing in the 15¢, claim check pricing. Insurance navigator, the dollar 79 package includes a bunch of other features and is really something that's designed for packages that for practices that are growing. They might be considering alternatives for how they're gonna be operationalizing the burden of taking insurance as they continue to grow or take it on. You might be considering hiring a part or full time staff. It might be something where you're considering outsourcing something to a third party or a third party biller. You know, that and or you might be working with an aggregator or a, you know, a managed network platform of some sort. Those are, I think, multiples more expensive than the dollar 79 that insurance navigator is. You know, outsourcing to a third party might be, you know, eight to 12% of collections or a third party platform like a managed network platform might be 15 to 30% of the reimbursement. So, those are, you know, quite expensive alternatives, and we're really trying to find a way for those customers for whom it makes sense to provide an alternative, that that for them to consider. And it doesn't necessarily provide complete parity with all of those offerings per se, but it really does narrow the gap through client responsibility estimates, automatic EOB uploads, AI supported claim rejection, edit navigation, access to real expert guidance from insurance specialists to help you along the the entire path there. So there's a lot in that offering that I really think is more comparable to some of those other fuller service offerings, and for you to consider. So that's where the dollar 79 comes in, just to be clear. Okay. Next question is from Michael. Michael Nichols says, find no value in the new revised billing. Can I keep my old software? The 70% increase will require me to find a new service, and there are many, many thumbs up associated with that. Michael, thanks for, the comment and, the question associated with that. If you mean by your old software, the changes that have come the way it was before the new billing hub and some of the new features, we are rolling these features out broadly. And so there is not like a, an older version that we will maintain over time. We really, did a lot of work in the lead up to this, to this change to, validate that, clinicians were getting a lot of value out of these these changes, and we're able to materially improve both their efficiencies of saving time, as well as, ultimately realizing value from the filing of claims more rapidly and with higher confidence. So those are those are those are the the changes there. There is no other option than the new services that we're rolling out at this point. Obviously, we're always in conversation. We we encourage you to reach out to us. We wanna continue to hear from you as you continue to, you know, engage with these new new features and, hopefully find the benefits that we've seen a lot of people in our early access start to start to realize. I don't know if anyone else wants to add anything to that. Yeah. Yeah, Doug. I think that Got I. I'm speaking with a lot of customers over the last few weeks, especially as we were doing some early adopter testing. And a, with the essentials tier and those features, was definitely finding that those the value in those were a bit more subtle. They weren't as in your face as our navigator features are. But as I pointed out different things like claim edit rules, or different workflows that we've optimized, a lot of customers, you could see, like, kind of that light bulb moment of, wow. Okay. This is actually a lot easier. I didn't realize it did this. So I would love to hear I know Dylan and I both as former billers. Well, me as a former biller, Dylan Dylan as a current biller, has had done a lot to look through these features and really understand, like, how they revolutionize or evolve the way that you build in simple practice. So I'd like to kick it over to Dylan to hear kind of, like, his thoughts on the different value those workflows are bringing. Definitely. Thanks, Jordan. And to your point, I think that there are a number of features that kind of fly under the radar of some of the more banner items that to me, like, they might seem like kind of smaller quality of life changes, but to me, they make the biggest impact in the daily workflow. First, top of mind would just be the ability to persist claim edits. Let let's say that you have five denied claims. They all need the same thing changed on the claim form. You're gonna have to go in, maybe change something in the client demographics, save there, and then you're still gonna have to edit every claim. Or the classic one would be, let's say, the wrong payer ID, which is a good probably moment here for just overall billing to call out one of the few tried and true rule rules here, which is the Blue Cross Blue Shield home versus local plan. Classic mistake, client comes in, they enter in Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. That's what's on the card. But you're both in Michigan, and you need to build in Michigan. So what do you need to do there? You're going to need to delete that claim, start all over. What you can do here, update in the client settings, the insurance, fix one claim, and then go through the corrected claim workflow, and it's gonna regenerate and pull that new payer ID right there, which also really goes along with the claim submission history. So if you delete a claim, you lose all your previous claim history entirely. And this way, in the new method where you can archive a claim, create a collected claim, you get to keep that for your timely filing records on file and then also persist those changes that you've just updated in the first claim to future claims, automatically and then any others that you're gonna need to correct. And I know one thing about this whole corrected claims, workflow it is kinda tripping, a lot of us up. And I've spent a lot of time under the hood now and found that, yes, you still can delete claims. And so I've seen that coming up in the questions. I've seen that in the community. I had that question myself. Sometimes you do just wanna get rid of a claim. There is a way to do this. And the way that that is is that when it's stuck in that, denied state, that's where you're not gonna be able to do it. So simply click that little button in the corner to either edit the current claim or create the corrected claim. At that point, you have a new claim or the old claim that you're editing that you can save. Once you save, it's going to be in prepared status. From there, if you want to, you can actually delete the claim. Why is it maybe behind a little bit, more clicks than usual? Because in this new workflow, once you acclimate to it, you're gonna find that archiving the claims, in my opinion, is a better way to go in most scenarios. But thought it was important, to point out here that you actually can delete claims still in the new workflow. Yeah. And to really just drive home to our new, claim rule automations, I've been on a lot of calls with customers who have said, hey. I don't think I don't think a lot of customers realize this is here. If you're on your billing and dashboard page, you'll see a little, like, x number claim rules icon at the top. If you click that, that will jump you right into the settings page where those claim rules live. The nice thing about those is I've watched customers from time and time again over the years open up each claim individually, manually edit each one, save each one, and then submit each one. With the new claim rules, you can get more granular in how all of that is automated for you. So let's say you're billing three commercial payers and then Medicare. Maybe your office location, your video office, you have 95 as a modifier that's set to it, but every Medicare claim needs a different modifier. So you you have to go in every time and adjust that modifier. With the claim that it rules, you could just set that up for Medicare specifically and just let that run automatically, which a number of customers have been telling us. They've been saving minutes, you know, hours over each week, not having to open those individually every time. So if you have any questions about how that feature works, please reach out to us. We'll be more than happy to help you get it configured. Absolutely. Because what once you unlock the value in those claim rules, I mean, there's really no going back. And this isn't just for maybe some of you solo practitioners, group practices. For any of the billers out there that are managing multiple simple practice customer accounts, you know, you can probably have a spreadsheet, cheat sheets, some sort of profile to keep everything in line in your head when you're switching between the different practices. Take the time to set up these claim matter rules per office, per provider, whatever the case may be, and then you'll find what it really unlocks is what, you know, everyone's favorite feature of simple practice billing, which is batch submit your claims. You're in your unbilled. appointments. You look through everything and give it the once over. Everything looks good. What happens? Usually, you find that usually in the calendars, mistakes happen in the calendar and they persist over into the unbilled appointments. So you can only batch maybe five or six claims. The other 10, you're gonna have to prepare, open up, edit, and then send them on their way. And if you have the right claim claim rules in place, you can simply look over that and go, yep. Those those are all gonna get caught up in my claim rules and corrected before they get sent out and then get your batch filing back. There's a lot of goodness in there. Thank you guys for walking through that. And I saw a couple of comments, while you were talking about people having a little bit of trouble following. What are some of the other resources that they could follow-up with really quickly? Like, whether there's some demos that they could watch, some other resources they could tap into to find out a little bit more about how to best use some of these features. Yeah. So in our, customer help center, which you can access through the, get help, the little question mark icon on the bottom right of your account, or you can just Google SimplePractice help center. Get your kit right there. We have all new help center guides for all the features. So we have some that are just going over in general what the new tiers are with essentials and navigator and the differences. But then from there, you should find plenty of links to specific features. So for the claim edit rules in particular, just as an example, you'll find a guide for that, where you can kind of walk through step by step how to configure those. Also, anything that's in our help center is, queryable through the chatbot in your in your account. So if you hit that little question mark and you ask, hey. How do I set up claim edit rules? The bot will walk you right through it. It will provide all the information that's already in the help center. So if you don't wanna scroll and click and navigate, you can just work with the chatbot. And then, of course, as you're working with the chatbot, if anything gets a little bit more specific and our resources aren't answering that, just go ahead and ask to get connected with an insurance specialist, and that will go ahead and connect you with our team for further guidance. Okay. With that, let's get back into some of the q and a. I know that, obviously, we have a ton of questions here. I wanna try to get to as many of them as possible. Okay. The next, comes up from Shadow Roads. Hopefully, I, pronounced your name correctly there. I would appreciate clarification on the following. One, why is simple practice eliminating the 35 included claim submissions rather than simply adjusting the overage fee, especially since we are no longer receiving our free claims on the plus subscription. Will existing plus customers receive any other accommodation to make the change worth the price of the plan? Thanks for the question, Shado. The ultimately, the goal here was to try to make the same offering available across all the packages. And so that's why we, eliminated the free, claims and standardized the pricing across, everything. Plus, members will still have, free claim checks for the next, six months until April 1. So that's an accommodation, for the plus, customers as we move into this new pricing mode. Beyond that, it's gonna be a standard, offering across, all the all the packages. And, the question went away here, but and I believe there's a second part of it that I'm not recalling. Do any of the other three of you recall what the second part of that question was? Or could we bring the question back? Let's see. It seems to be off my screen at this point. I mean, it's possible. There we go. Oh, that's it was the second part. So I talked a little bit about that. So that's the answer to that question. The next question is from Samantha Silverman. Samantha asks, with the new pricing per claim, is it for every single CMS 1,500 form submitted or per claim submitted? In other words, if we group the client's claims together for the month of August on one CMS 1,500 form, will we be charged for one claim or multiple? Shazad, do. you wanna talk TikTok? Yeah. Or Jordan, either either one. Yeah. I was gonna say, you can definitely batch file claims, for different days of service onto a single claim, and you'll just be charged for that one claim. Obviously, you can't batch till you have different clients on the sing on a single claim. But for a single client, if you wanna do it on a biweekly, monthly, you know, bimonthly basis, you'll only be charged for the one claim. Great. Thanks. Alright. Next oh, I things were moving, and I clicked the wrong one. But we'll answer this one first and then, Danielle, we'll get back to your question in just a second. There are many folks in the chat expressing dissatisfaction with this change. Would you please address that? Anthony, thank you for the the the comment there. We care deeply about the feedback that we get from you and from all of our customers. Ultimately, we don't have a business. We're not here, for any reason other than to help clinicians thrive, and particularly independent, private practice mental health clinicians is our focus. That's what we're trying to build, everything that we do for. And so your feedback is absolutely absolutely critical for us. And we wanna hear from you, whether, you know, when you're happy, it's, of course, wonderful to hear that. But also when you're upset with something, it's something we wanna hear too. So, we we know we are listening. I am sitting in our Facebook community reading every single comment. I know that, everyone on this call is. I know Jonathan, our CEO is. We are all deeply engaged in trying to understand, how people are responding to this, the struggles that people are having, trying to help people understand what we think the value proposition is behind this, and hopefully, helping people understand the different features that have gone in to this moment, and where we're going from here. So we understand that people are upset. We're not definitely not blind to it. We care deeply about that and trying to help everyone get to a place where they understand, that we're investing behind, you being able to grow your business, and make practice the way that you wanna practice. So that's our goal. We'll continue to stay dedicated to that, and and we hope to earn your trust in the way that we do that. Okay. The next question is from Danielle. Apologies. I, clicked past that. But, would it be possible to restore the option of deleting a claim? There are some times when that would be preferable to to correcting it. Yep. I I agree. I agree, Danielle. And as I mentioned before, you still can delete a claim. It's just a little bit of a different process now as a way of safeguarding claims that you would probably rather keep on record. So when it's in a denied state, think of it this way, that you wanna move it back to prepared. So if you have the little corrected claim button now in the right corner, you can select that or you can click the arrow next to it to get the drop down and edit the actual claim you're looking at. Either way, now you're in an editable form again. From there, save, and it's gonna now be a prepared claim. From there, you can delete that claim. One. Just add, add. on to Dylan. You know, certainly, if that's the preferred workflow, that is available to you. We also do wanna just emphasize too, though, you know, it was our belief that if a claim goes out the door somewhere, you wanna keep a record of that because you never know when that needs to be referred back to that you had taken that action in the past. So we do have our feedback in terms of, denied claims, kinda muddying up the claims file page or reporting, and those things, those are things that we are working through. So on your claims file page, you should see a toggle to hide archived claims. That should be defaulted on. But if it's not, you can default it on. You only have to do it once. That will continue to stay on, so that doesn't kind of clutter up your your claims file page. And then we'll also, in the coming weeks, be working to hide those archived claims from all of your practice reporting so it doesn't, muddy up those reporting as well. So there will be improvements there, if you do choose to keep those on file as a record. Great. Thanks, everyone. So, just really quickly, I think there was maybe some confusion about whether or not claim rules are a part of, Insurance Essentials, and they are indeed a part of Insurance Essentials and are available to everyone, just FYI, in case that wasn't clear. One thing I would just like to take a quick pause to note is there is a opportunity for a free trial of Insurance Navigator. We've already had 10,000, clinicians sign up to, a wait list, and and now are in the first batch of trials. If you're interested in trying out some of those features for free, there's a thirty day free trial of that that you certainly can sign up for. So please please please do, reach out to us. You can sign up on our website, and, we'd be happy to happy to help you experience some of those opportunities as well. Okay. Next The next, question here is from Scott Rudin. Scott asked, does a corrected, edit claim resubmit also cost 39¢? Jordan, you wanna. Yep. take that? Gotcha. Sorry. So that yeah. So, with that with, corrected claims, it really depends on, whether that claim resupply resupply or not. So So if it goes through our clearing house and the clearing house finds an issue with it and sends it back, most of the time that shows up as a scrub. Sometimes it shows up as a rejection. In those cases, we do not charge, another fee, to resubmit and get it out. But if it reaches the payer and is rejected or denied, we are charged for that and, therefore, an additional fee is applied when the credit claim goes out. The one thing I'd add also is, with our new preclaim submission checks, there's a lot more we're doing ahead of the first time you submit your claim to prevent these errors, to prevent the scrubs so that your claims are your claims are clean the first submission. Great. Awesome. Thanks, everyone. Okay. This is from from Kristen. Kristen asks, I need step by step instructions for submitting claims. It was so easy before. Why did you change it? Shiza, why don't you talk a little bit about some of the rationale behind changing it and why we hope that this will, as people get used to some of these things, hopefully, be something that they find even easier. Yeah. So I I it it goes back to the kind of what I shared at the beginning a little bit. Like, our our goal here is to remove the friction from the end to end process. And through a lot of our interviews and customer conversations, we saw as people had figured out, like, certain workarounds behind some of the workflows that we already had. Right? But, ultimately, people had solved for where the product wasn't working optimally. And as we observed and just watched people file their claims, a lot of us and many of us on this call on our side actually started taking note of, like, well, is there a better way to do this? If I were to pick the example of our claim edit rules that we have, you know, this is a common feature that many enterprise scale EHRs actually have. And so we wanted to bring that functionality to you. And, you know, as we observed, I think the one anecdotal example, we had is of one customer that had 450 plus billing profiles previously, and now they have 25 rules. And this is a pretty large practice. And so this is really able to show the efficiency that you gain. The billing hub, similarly, we had two tabs previously. People were opening up a lot of separate tabs. People were you'd basically exporting the data to Excel spreadsheets. And what we found is could we actually, through guiding people, solve for that problem within the product? And a lot of what you see in terms of the prioritized actions you can take, the pre filtering that we're we're doing with some of the, the the the the other tabs that we have, it's actually enabling you to prioritize the work you need to do and highlighting for you what the actions are are needed. And that that was some of the impetus impetus behind the change. I also wanna acknowledge that it is a big change. Right? And that's something we also observed, and this is a core workflow that many of you are doing every day or every week, and changing it is is dramatic sometimes. And so and I'll toss it over to Jordan to highlight some of this. But what we wanted to try to do is also make sure we're providing you with as many resources available to help guide you through this transition so we can soften the landing a little bit. Jordan, if if you wanna highlight some of the resources we have. Yeah. So as I mentioned earlier, we do have our help center that we're always looking to, further enhance, and that feeds into our chatbot. I think I saw somebody in the chat mentioned how do you get help. So when you're in your account on any page you're on, you'll see a little question mark at the bottom right. If you click into that, that is how you can get support. You just post a question, and it will provide options to you either. It has a straightforward answer for you. And if that's not working, then it will offer to escalate you over to email or to phone, or to chat depending on your plan. So we have the help center. We always love to hear from customers where they think additional documentation would be helpful. And then on the essentials plan, so the way we've been devising our support, for essential customers is really with the idea that folks generally know, what they're doing. They're confident in doing their billing, or they have a billing operation that they pay for. So whether that level level of support will always be available, by email to answer questions or issues you run into. If there's a particular rejection that doesn't seem right, you know, you you contacted the payer, they told you one thing, but we're saying something else in simple practice, you're always welcome to reach out to us. We'll work with our clearing house to get that cleared up and give you the right information. And then with our navigator support, we stand stood up on entirely new team. And with that team, the goal is really to support customers who are wanting to do billing on their own or they don't feel like they're large enough for a billing operation, but really do need more guidance. They are looking for more education on the overall revenue cycle. So with our essentials team, our team members kind of they specialize in specific insurance topics. They go really deep to make sure we're giving support the way we need to be. But with the navigator team, our team is trained across the whole the whole spectrum of revenue cycle management. So that team, we kind of went across our entire support teams, and we, found our team members that are really just, like, our most excellent team members when it provides when it comes to providing support and working with team or working with customers. And we educated them and and taught them how insurance works in simple practice, and we put together a team with all those folks. So those folks will be meeting with customers over the phone, over video calls, over email. And, really, at any point in time that you're having an issue and you reach out, you'll get connected with a team member who will stay with you and work through all insurance issues you're having at that time, work through all questions you have, and just make sure all your billing is really in a good place, until the next time you need help. So that's some of the stuff we've been doing so far. If anybody has any questions about kind of what they can receive in particular, definitely feel free to reach out. And then I'll also just kind of mention too that we'll, you might start hearing from us. So if we see that on our end, your billing looks like it's really struggling and you're on the navigator tier, we'll actually be reaching out to you to, connect and more proactively offer you support. So look out for that. Yeah. So thanks for that, Jordan. And I would encourage everyone to if you're interested in that sort of level of of service, please sign up for that insurance navigator free trial because that will provide access to that. I also see a lot of, comments in the chat here about an additional live stream where we really walk through sort of the nuts and bolts of leveraging some of these tools. I think that's an excellent suggestion. I know that not all people like different kinds of forms, so that we'll take that back and we'll try to get that on the calendar and and give everyone enough time so that they can appropriately manage their their schedule to, to attend that. And then we'll make, obviously, anything from that available, afterwards as well. So thank you for the suggestion there, Deborah. A bunch of bunch of people were, were were commenting on that as a need, so we'll we'll make sure to do that. just wanna mention, real quick, Doug, too. I did see a couple chats on this. If there is a technical issue with their platform, with our clearing house, or their connections, it won't matter what tier you're on. We're gonna treat those support needs all the same. So if there's a problem that you or your billing team cannot resolve on your own because there's a technical issue going on, you will get the support you need from us no matter what. And we'll work more and more over the next, coming months to get that information to you directly so you don't even have to reach out and notify us. Jordan, I saw just a quick, point from from, Deborah Bergman in who said that, they signed up for a navigator but don't know how to access a live, SP support person. What's the path? Just for the people who are on the navigator tier, how do they, access the insurance specialist? Yeah. Definitely. So, Deborah, in the bottom right corner, again, on on, in your account, you'll see that question mark button. Click that open. Ask your insurance question. If it's straightforward, you know, like, how do I file a claim? How do I submit an enrollment, the chatbot will walk you through those steps. But anything, you know, that's more specific to your account or if you just wanna connect to get on a video call with our team as a navigator customer, you can just go ahead and ask, you know, please connect me with an insurance specialist. The chatbot will send you right through, and it will either offer you the phone number, for insurance navigator customers, or it will offer you the option to send an email asking to schedule a video call in the future. So either of those options, you can you can reach out to us on, and, we'll be happy to connect with you. Okay. Should let's dive back into some some questions here. Again, we're going by most upvoted. So if you see something you'd like us to answer, in the q and a tab on the right, please go in there and upvote it so that, it has a chance of us getting to it, and we'll try to get through as many of these as we can. Okay. The next question is a dollar 79 is an exorbitant amount per claim. 39¢ is already double industry standard. Why charge all customers more feature not everyone uses? I realize you will say customers ask for this. Customers are not asking to pay 10 times more in these a la carte fees. I think we've you know, Jordan just touched a lot on the benefits of insurance navigator. It's obviously an optional, optional level of support and service that you can access. So, hopefully, those answers, have addressed the dollar 79 and how we look at that as relative to other possible services you might wanna use. And then on the 39¢ is is ultimately our goal is to provide the very best suite of tools to make taking insurance as frictionless as possible, and and we're investing in that. And when we've talked to customers, about this, we did quite a bit of, you know, conversations with customers. This was the the price point that sort of landed amidst all of those things where we could afford it, and invest in it and give you that best service. So that's that's how we ended ended up at that price point, but I, understand that there are varying perspectives on that, and I, of course, respect that. I, you know, ultimately, I do wanna also just know that I I know some people have felt some of my answers here might have been sound political or something. I don't intend them that way. What I want is for you to reach out to us and let us know how you feel. We don't expect your trust. We expect to earn it. Not we don't ask for it. We we all have to earn it. So at the end of the day, please keep communicating with us. We wanna hear, about that. AJ, you said I see you say that that was a non answer. The non answer on, hopefully, not on the navigators side. We just talked about all the different benefits that go up in the relative points of the dollar 79 there. But on the on the 39¢, that is the price point that ultimately we think represents the value associated with all the investment we're putting into this. Again, that's that's the ultimate thing here is that we want to be able to invest in this. We've been investing in it. We're gonna continue to invest in it with a bunch of new features coming as we go forward that I think are gonna be tremendously valuable for you. And that's ultimately how we've arrived to that price point. So I hope that that's, clear. Okay. I would also add in, Doug, Yeah. if I could, on the clearinghouse fees, the 39¢, we are in a unique position where we do have three clearinghouses that we integrate with, which provides some very robust infrastructure, support. I'm sure many people on this call remember change health care fiasco of twenty twenty four, outages that can happen with any of these clearinghouses over time. So to have this triple redundancy, it is really fairly unprecedented and keeps billers, keeps private practices running even when and if something like that does occur. Doug, I see there's one comment from from Kelly who is on the wait list for Navigator, but said there's a thirty day free trial. That that is so the wait the wait list is what you need to get on to get on the trial, Kelly. So if you've already signed up, that's great. We're excited to have you, but we can we can follow-up to make sure, to to give you some clarity of when you can join. Great. Thanks. Okay. Next question is from Heather. What makes this worth staying with simple practice rather than going to another EHR? Obviously, I'll I'll I'll answer this, but other folks can feel free to to chime in. Our goal here is to provide you the very best in class software and services possible for running an independent mental health practice. We're gonna continue to invest. This is part of this is us being able to continue to invest and launch the best possible products and enhance features so that you can run your practice the way you want to, and hold hopefully, achieve your goals in that regard. And our job is to support you in that. We'll continue to invest. Obviously, it's up to you to assess, if we're doing that and if we're doing that to a level that you find satisfactory. But our goal is we will never stop pursuing that. And so hopefully hopefully, we we reach that bar for you. And, of course, we always encourage you to reach out to us, if we're not or if we are. But okay. Let's keep going here. Next question is from Eddie. Are you open to take a step back in this new update based on the fact that most users do not find it useful? I I touched on this a little bit earlier, Eddie. You know, right now, there's no plans to roll this back. In fact, we're our goal is to try to continue to invest in this and make these ever better for you as we go forward. So that's, that's the current plan of record. The next question is from Karen, and it is, we currently have the plus plan. Is that converting to essentials, in October? Yes. Your insure the insurance part, this is a little confusing, I guess, because we have a essential plan, which is a subscription tier. It will not be converting to the subscription tier essentials, but your insurance, product and component of your plus plan will be what we are talking about, which is the insurance essentials, some feature set and pricing. Okay. Next, question is from Laura, and, it says the biggest problem is the price increases. We've been with you for a while, and the increases have been very significant. What I totally understand that perspective. Obviously, a lot of folks have been expressing similar perspectives. I'll go back to what I said before, which is our goal is to continually invest in this this platform and the services that we provide you in a way that allows you to be as successful as you can be. That's our bar. That's our goal. And, I hope you continue to hold us accountable to that. And we know that price increases are never something that people like, but is part of the what what enables us to continue to invest in the way that we do. I see a comment from Laura in the chat about please go over other questions. We've answered the same question over and over again. If we are starting to hit some of the same questions, I may skip past them. Please forgive me if you feel like I'd we haven't answered that question, but wanna try to get to as much as possible. I also know that this was scheduled for an hour and many people will have other obligations. You might need to go see clients. And, of course, you know, you you know, we can go do that. Of course, we are gonna stay on for a while longer and continue to answer as many questions as we can. So if you are able to stick around, please do. Otherwise, we will make sure to make sure, this entire recording available to everyone, if you do need to step away. So completely understand that. Okay. So the next question is from Allison. Can we opt out of this new process? I did not have any issue before. I just answered this question. So for what I just said, I think, Allison, we're gonna move on, but, no. There's not an opt out, at this point, from insurance essentials. Next question is from Chloe. Will we pay each time we view an insurance estimate check? Can you clarify, Jordan? Yeah. She's correct me if I'm wrong, but, if so if you're on navigator, the, the verification of benefits is included in the cost. If you're on essentials, right now that charge will be 15¢ to run a a benefit check. And then I believe, Shazad, is that changing later down the line, or is that staying at 15¢? That that will be 15¢ per check. However, if you are a plus plan member, So will continue to get your automated checks until the end of April, so for six months. yeah. Okay. Let's keep going here. The next question is from Sunshine. Why does Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance verification not pull up? Yeah. I? can speak to. this. With the Blue Cross Blue Shield, it really I mean, as a lot of you may be aware, there's a ton of different plans across the country when it comes to Blue Cross Blue Shield and Anthem. So with the verification of benefits, the top 100 payers are supported, for those checks. So what we would need to do is we would need to look at the specific Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, make sure it's supported. And then if it is supported, make sure that it's working properly. So it's all to say I don't really have an answer because it is a very wide umbrella. Dylan, I don't know if you wanna add anything else. But if you reach out to the support team, we can look at the specifics of that client's coverage. Yep. And that that about covers it. It's just BCBS being a nationwide network and different formatings, I mean, there are some potential user mistakes that can happen as well when you're entering the subscriber ID, for example, especially if there's an alpha prefix and or a numeric suffix. I I would say that the vast majority of Blue Cross Blue Shield plans do pull up in the eligibility check, so we would need to take a deeper dive. But I feel pretty confident that usually when running into something like that specific to Blue Cross Blue Shield, that there is a reasonable answer for that. Cool. Thanks. I do wanna there was a comment from Whitney Shea about Headway offering virtually all these things with absolutely no charge, in guaranteeing clawbacks, etcetera. There's some pretty material differences here. Obviously, when you're working with one of those managed network offerings, they are you're essentially a part of a group practice where they're, maintaining a lot of the interaction with the payer. And this, you know, a huge part of simple practices proposition is that we enable you to be truly independent, to control and own your relationships with who you wanna own and control those relationships with. And don't, you know, force you into any anything there. So this is really, a quite different offering in that regard. Of course, there are trade offs for many different types of approaches here, so we, of course, respect that. But this isn't is not equivalent. Okay. Next, question is from Eva. Given the price increase across all plans, will there be a new option that is less expensive to just use simple practices in EHR without any of the insurance options add ons? Yeah. Only any of these pricing changes only apply to people who are filing insurance. So there are no changes to the core subscription tiers here in terms of their pricing. So that that hopefully, that is clear. can just. add on real Doug too. I saw a couple of chats asking, if you can be on the essentials plan and still use insurance navigator. So I just wanted to, clarify that the new plans are completely decoupled from our subscription plans. So you can be on the plus plan and use essentials for insurance. You could be on the essential subscription plan and use navigator. You could be on the starter subscription plan and use navigator. Both are completely, separate moving forward. Okay. So let's dive in here to, the next question here, which is from Amanda. I'm very confused about pricing for this. Is this something that we don't get to opt out? I think we've answered that question, Amanda. So, yes. There's there's not an opt out option here. Next is from Tanya. What is the bulk claim discount? I didn't see it anywhere in the information. There this is listed on our our website, so you can certainly do that. And maybe one of my colleagues can grab that, specific web page and and post it in the chat here so that you have access to it. But please do reach out to us if it's not clear. It starts at 250 claims per month. Next question is from Samantha. Samantha asked insurance reimbursements are decreasing. This is an awful time for such a substantial overhead, increases. I understand that perspective. I think one of the things long term is that we are trying to build better relationships across the entire ecosystem so that we can help, the ecosystem value and understand the, value that independent private practices are creating across the board, here in terms of providing care, across the entire ecosystem. So, hopefully, those are things that, you know, together, we can try to try to reverse that trend to the extent that it's actually, occurring for you. I I would just add to that, these features are geared toward making it more successful for you to collect that revenue. You know, when I see statistics out there that it it's twice as hard in in this line of work to get your claims paid as it is in general medical claims, and then nearly 60% of those gets sent out once, and then we leave them on the table. So, really, there's also a component of this is how much revenue is being lost because billing is hard and we don't have time to do it versus taking the time to make that correction and get that claim sent out. Most claims, very often, to generalize, are correctable in some way or another. But finding the time to do it, understanding how to do it, that's where the insurance companies win over us and the time that we have to, you know, dedicate to this. So we're leaving money on the table, and that's what these features aim to address. Okay. Next question, is from Betty, which is, so what will the monthly fee be just to use? Simple practice. That depends on which tier you're on. And, you know, starter is $49 a month. Essentials, 79, and then, plus is 99 a month. If you're a group practice, there's, discounted rates for additional clinicians on the plus tier. Okay. Can Can we opt out of these upgraded insurance functions? Answered that already, and there, there's no opt out, of essentials. The, I believe we already can we delete a claim that was, never supposed to be submitted? It's not a revision. I I think we answered that question already. So, we're gonna move on from that. When creating a resubmission claim, why is I think probably is the original claim number not auto populated anymore? That's a good one. Yeah. I I feel, Jordan, like we've addressed that. I I was running it through the paces, today myself and either, editing the original and, creating a corrected claim, going through the the new corrected claim workflow. I was, getting the ICM number, original claim number. I'm not sure if maybe one reason might be if it's a rejection. But I would I would wanna know more. Maybe reach out to us if you're specifically not having that auto populate. Yeah. If you were in our early adopter program, we did find that that was not populating the way it used to. So we did, put in some work to fix that. I'm actually not too sure if that fix just went out or if it's about to go out. But to Dylan's point, Dylan, if you were seeing that that was populating, that might have that fix might have gotten very recently released. But to Dylan's point, if it didn't go through adjudication, there's not a reference number to auto populate. So, it does need to reach a specific status before it's able to do that. Just a good general medical billing call out there. If it's scrubber rejected, you're not sitting submitting a corrected claim in terms of using that original reference number because it did not make it to the payor. Or in a rejection case, payor kicked it back and said, not good enough, not ready for us to process. If it is denied, that is the one claim situation where you absolutely need to have the original reference number, unless, of course, it's Medicare. You'll always submit an original. But, again, I was doing some billing today, and that feature was working same as it did in the in the old billing system, for me today. Great. Next question is from Cindy. What are we getting with the essential program now? What will be the cost of the essential program b? I'm a sole proprietor. Do Do not make a ton of claims a month. I need to know the cost, honestly. So, there are a ton of new features, that we've been rolling into the essential, the insurance essentials, feature set. We've talked about a lot of those, but, I mean, we could do a very quick recap of those. Jordan might throw it to you to do that. And then, obviously, we can talk about the pricing explicitly. All of this is available on our website, though. I very much encourage you to go there. You can see demos of the product in action, how to use it. You can obviously, visit our help center and get a lot more information of specifically what's included and how to make the most out of it. And, and then, the pricing is also there as well. But, Jordan, you wanna talk to just a couple of specifics here? Yeah. With the essentials plan, like Doug mentioned, that's a 39¢ per claim. We, released a number of features throughout the year. So not just, most recently, you saw a lot of features go out in August around claim added rules, the new dashboard. For folks that haven't poked around that dashboard, definitely encourage you when you have time to take a few minutes with it. The whole goal of that dashboard was all the different workflows that you have to take on the various billing pages. The ideas were surfacing that right on the dashboard. So there's a click to go to file claims. There's a click to review all of your insurance payments. There's a click to review all of your rejected claims. And all of those clicks on that dashboard jump to filtered versions of those pages. So when you go to a billing page, you no longer have to tinker around with the different filters. You don't have to scroll around a whole bunch, adjust things. The date range, the idea is really just to bring you there with it already teed up for you to work. And then in addition to those earlier and throughout the year, we've been releasing other features. Simple invoicing is a real big one. I don't know if you wanna speak to that, Shazad, but simple invoicing it for my seven years of simple practice. All the fee adjustment invoices, all the deleting and recreating and balances bouncing around, that was a really big one. I kinda feel like that went under the radar for a lot of folks. In your settings, that's something that you can enable, the simple invoicing, and that really just streamlines that process of managing balances and managing invoices for clients, cutting down on all that confusion. Awesome. Thanks. Yeah. I just. wanted to add ahead. in that. Yeah. in in terms of there seems to be a lot of, like, how to questions. Just a just a quick plug. We do have if if some of you have participated or joined, we have a recurring monthly series called the billing brief. We had the first one last month. The next month is coming up on September 23. So we will we will take that opportunity to go through many more of these and actually walk through how to live. So if you have open questions in terms of how does some of this work and how should you interact with it, encourage you to please participate and join there. We'd we'd love to we'd love to continue to continue this conversation, in that forum as well. I'll ask that too real quick. We have some registration links in the help center for weekly q and a's. So we host insurance q and a's, specifically getting started q and a's. So definitely check that out. You can ask the chatbot on the account to link you to, those registration pages. And, our team our insurance team and our onboarding teams host those on a weekly basis. Great. Thanks, everyone. Okay. Next question is from Jennifer, and we'll keep going here. You know, just I know not everyone's gonna be able to stick around forever, so we'll probably go till we get through, questions that have, you know, 10 or more upvotes, as the the most popular questions. So, again, I encourage you to upload if, there's something that you would like us to get to today. And, otherwise, we will follow-up with questions, with as many answers as we can. Jennifer asks, I already paid for a professional biller to do all of this for me. Seems like I will be paying for a service I intend to use or will use. How is this ethical or fair? Shazah, do you wanna talk a little bit about how billers can, interact with this or you know, practices that have Yeah. Yeah. I would say, billing partners? you know, even when we when we looked at these workflows that we designed, it improves the work for your billers as well. It incur it will enable you to for your billers to be more efficient and effective. We had, even when we were testing this, we actually invited several billers to participate and gathered feedback from them as they're working at a certain scale larger than a solo clinician per se. And so the benefit is there for anybody who kind of has a billing action to be done. I would say Insurance Navigator is there if you're looking for somewhat of an alternative to do some of that work or you're looking to do some of that yourself. This is where, you know, it helps avoid you having to pick up a phone and and call the payer given you have client responsibility estimates as well as tool like the claim assistant to help you file denials and rejections. And then you have our insurance specialist there to help guide you on how to best use simple practice to take care of some of those activities. So it really depends on the needs of your practice, but when you think of the billers themselves and and folks doing the billing activities, the workflows themselves are optimized to help them be more efficient. Awesome. Thanks. Next question is from Kelly Cole. We are not billers. Your system is not as intuitive for many of us as it is for you. You each have decades of experience. Thanks, Kelly, for the comment. Our goal is to try to continue to make it as accessible, as possible. I don't know, you know, if any of the panelists wanna comment on this quickly about, how to how to learn the system as best as possible. I would just say we'd love to see you at the next billing brief. And as Jordan Jordan pointed out, we have, lots of ways to reach out to us as well. I think that it would be great for us in future episodes of this to keep drilling down on some of the smaller, really important, and impactful features, some of which I kind of rattled off earlier. There's a lot of things now with claim added rules and pre scrubbing that a little bit of help to get set up and wrap your, heads around, like, how we to to set up your practice with these. It it really does get you to a close closer to, like, a set it and forget it, batch file your claims. They're gonna go out in a uniform fashion based on those rules and really get you past the headaches of it overall. Thanks, Don. Okay. Next question comes from Catherine. Secondary claims, finding the ones that need filed submitted like we're able to do with primary claims, our notes done, locked, and told me. I'm not totally sure what the question is here, Catherine, but maybe someone else has, some insight into that. Yeah. Yeah. What Catherine's speaking to is is just the visibility around appointments to be filed when it comes to secondary claims. So it's not as blatantly clear in the product, you know, when a secondary claim is ready to be filed and and the kind of, different details around that. I can say, and I don't know, Shazah, if you wanna add anything, but we do have a product manager who is specifically dedicating their upcoming bandwidth to secondary claims. I know personally, I'm very excited to see, how she works on that and and what solution she's developed, but we are very, very aware that secondary claims is is a bit of a sticking point. Just for a little bit of context, about I think it's, like, 10 to 15% of customers file secondary claims. So it's one reason we haven't totally prioritized it in the past, but that is upcoming upcoming very soon. Yeah. I would just echo that. We have heard in every conversation that we've had how critical secondary claims support is. So we are we are on it. I I think the question was from from Catherine. If if you're interested, we'd we'd love to connect with you and learn more about your your challenges you're having, and making sure as we build it out, it addresses some of the concerns you have. In some ways, this is a good lead into, Maria's questionnaire. Is that can we develop a billing course through simple practice specifically? And I think, I think that that refers, like, for us to provide, more learning options for people. We've talked a little bit about some of those things. Please do join us on future live streams. Reach out to us from a support standpoint, And, we will absolutely lean into making sure that we have as many, resources for you to understand how to use these tools to the best of your ability going forward. Telling without showing is not working for me. Also, the rationale for this isn't really helpful. I just want the technical info, not the sales info. And you say we should reach out, but I've never been able to talk to someone who can help. I real live person. Lindy, thanks for the comment. I will, will say, there's several things that we will be doing more demoing. Please do reach out to the website. There's lots of, resources there. We've been continuing to invest quite a bit in, our support function. So I do very much encourage you to to connect with our support team. Jordan has referenced, much upgraded chat interface as well that we have. So that's a really great way to get a lot of answers and or reach people, for direct dialogue when you need them. So hopefully, that helps you going forward on that front. Catherine, I've always had to go to Availity or other sites to ensure that I have the right info. Are you saying just now that you can make that be, quote, unquote, not needed? Shazad, do you wanna jump in on this? Yeah. I I guess it it depends on what what info you're generally gathering from Avility. If this is specific to, average status, yes, you can go to Avility. Our our intent is well, well, we have that availability in essentials. Like, if you have a check, you can run it through you can run through, get a manual coverage check through essentials. With Navigator, we're not only providing a coverage check, but we're also doing client responsibility estimates. So we use multiple sources of information, multiple clearing houses, and that's part of the infrastructure that we have. So we can ensure that we're providing the more act most accurate estimate as possible. And I think as Jordan may have mentioned earlier, we have a over 80% accuracy on on our top 100 payers, and are continuing to expand that, across the a a broader set. And so this provides you with reliable information so you don't have to always call availability or go to the portal or call a payer to find that out. It's embedded within your workflow, ultimately saving you time on the phone with with various folks. Next question is from Kristen. Thanks again for another question, Kristen. Some of us were early adopters. I started with some practice very early. I've had very few billing problems on a small practice. I think, again, that sole providers who have smaller practices may have different needs. We are we're trying to build products that hopefully will make this easier for everyone and, more more rewarding for you. You'll be able to realize more revenue from this, and that's the benefit that should accrue to hopefully all practices who engage with these insurance tools. So, hopefully, that's the experience that you have, Kristen, but, I understand and appreciate your perspective there. Lisa, I'm feeling confused. Is there a change to pricing for membership tiers as well? No. There's no change to pricing for the subscription tiers. And then from Britta, to clarify, does this mean that the 10 free claims as part of the essential plans will go away starting in October? Yes. That is part of this change, to the pricing, Britta. So, there's more information on all the pricing, variations that you can see on, our website. So I encourage you to go there for that information. From Stephanie, can we get a trial of navigator for a month before we make a decision? Why, Stephanie? Yes. You can. There is a free trial of insurance navigator for thirty days that everyone is, all plans are available to sign up for. I highly encourage everyone to do that, to get an experience of those tools and understand how they work for your practice and your approach. So you can go to our website. You can sign up there on the insurance navigator page, and, we look forward to you experiencing those and giving us your feedback on how they're working for you. Catherine, rejection reasons codes are typically extremely vague and unhelpful. What is being done to improve this? Also, I'm curious why scrub claims no longer alert at the time of submitting the claim. They now appear to have submitted without issue, and we must check the claim submitted list to find the scrub claims needing fixed. I appreciate them showing up on the list, but it would be nice to be alerted at the time they're submitted if I'm doing individual, not batch billing claims. Dylan, do you wanna talk about this a little bit? Sure. And you're right. The rejection reason codes are very confusing. Now, of course, for the add on of insurance navigator, that does come with our new claim assistant that sits right there with you in your claim and works to translate the explanation of those codes into something that we all can actually understand and and then a recommendation to take action, on that. As far as the the the scrubs not being instantaneous, this is behavior that I've seen change with clearinghouses over time between the instantaneous scrub and, the scrub where you're now waiting a little bit. One thing I really like in the new billing hub is that when you log in and you're looking at your dashboard, you're gonna see the action required claims. These are these are going to be your scrubs. One click away from correcting those. Oftentimes, the scrubs are gonna be on the more remedial side of of fixability. Things like a a typo, a ZIP code, wrong payer ID, payer that you're not enrolled with for EDI yet, something to that effect. So I would say that that in combination with the prescrubbing is meant to help you avoid having to come and revisit those submissions again in the first place. And, again, if you did go into a a scrub claim, let's keep it easy and say for missing the nine digit ZIP code. And what's the nine digit ZIP code for the client or subscriber? You're gonna be able to correct that in that claim, persist that to the chart, and then not only have you fixed that scrub and got it sent back out, but now you're not gonna run into that for that client ever Alright. Well, thank you thank you, Dylan, for that. again. And with that, we have hit the 10 vote threshold. And, I think that's probably a good breaking point. I've seen obviously a lot of people have needed to drop, who are on the live stream. What I would suggest is that, please keep reaching out to us. Please stay in touch. Please join our future and upcoming live streams. And, you know, we want to hear from you. We wanna know how these tools are working for you. We want your input on what would be most valuable so that we can keep building the tools that you want, and help you run your practices the way that you, see fit. So I really appreciate you being here today, and bringing all your questions for us. Please keep them coming. Thank you for being a customer of SimplePractice, and, we look forward to seeing you again hopefully in the near future. Thanks everyone for being here.
